Dru Barth was honored with the Ada Edwards Laughlin Award at the June Installation Luncheon. A member of Assistance League of Los Gatos-Saratoga since 2011, Dru joined shortly after retiring from her career as a teacher and has since become one of the chapter’s most dedicated and influential volunteers.
Dru has served three terms as Chapter President and has held numerous board and chair positions throughout her years of service.
A longtime member of the Membership Committee, Dru believes it is one of the best ways for members to connect with one another, build relationships, and form lasting friendships. She has also managed the Senior Lunch Program since its inception and has contributed her time and talents to many chapter programs, including Clothes for Kids, Literacy, Park-It Market, the Family Program, and Resource Development.
Dru’s commitment extends beyond program leadership. She and her husband, Jim, graciously opened their home for the chapter’s annual Baby Shower, hosted board meetings, and even provided their garage as a staging area for Park-It Market packing sessions.
Through her leadership, generosity, and unwavering dedication, Dru exemplifies the core values of Assistance League.
