Assistance League of Los Gatos-Saratoga recently honored the winning Young Authors of Campbell Union School District with gift certificates to Barnes & Noble.
This is an annual event sponsored by the school district and the winning author at each of the district’s schools comes together for a special evening. The students read their winning stories and poems which often reflect their own lives and wishes for the future.
The gift certificates were presented by Sally Nichols, president of our chapter, at the event. Assistance League has participated in this event for over 10 years in support of literacy. We know that the better the literacy of a student, the more likely they are to do well in the future.
